Flying Coffin Nails

Vultures look graceful up in the clear sky,
But get one face to face,
And they aren’t so pretty plucking the flesh off your ribcage.
With bulging black-stone eyes and ragged gray feathers,
All your organs will drop straight humpty-lump to the pucker of your anus.
But a hawk isn’t any better,
Except, before death, you see fierce beauty and pride,
With a vulture you just see ugly and then die.
